Trauma Informed Approaches to Complaints and Investigations

Durant Barristers and Gillian Hnatiw & Co. are pleased to host a one-hour Webinar on "Trauma Informed Approaches to Complaints and Investigations" on June 28, 2022 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM EST. The cost is $40 + HST. You can register online here.

This Webinar will be of interest to lawyers, employers, human resources professionals, amateur and professional sports associations, universities, colleges, and others who regularly receive and administer complaints involving maltreatment, abuse, harassment, sexual harassment, and bullying. The goal of the session is to provide participants with information on the ways in which a trauma-informed process benefits all parties to an investigation. These include ensuring procedural fairness, avoiding the re-victimization of complainants, and identifying common pitfalls in administering complaints and investigations.

This Webinar has recently been accredited by the Law Society of Ontario for 1 hour of Professionalism Content.

Erin Durant of Durant Barristers will host Anna Matas of Gillian Hnatiw & Co. for a practical discussion of best practices, things to avoid and how to ensure your process is trauma informed and fair to all parties involved. We look forward to hosting you!
